VISA TO MONGOLIA EXTENDED TO BE 150 DAYS

The visa to enter Mongolia was changed to be 150 days, whereas it was 90 days before. The validity of Mongolian visas was relatively short compared to other countries, making it difficult for foreigners traveling through many countries and plan their trips in advance.
Therefore, the amendment on the Law on the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens extended the validity of visas to be 150 days and brought them in line with international standards. Thus, extending the validity of visas has the advantage of reducing difficulties that foreigners face.

Information for the travelers to Mongolia in relation to covid-19

The following passengers are allowed to enter from 10 May 2021.

NATIONALS and PERMANENT RECIDENTS OF MONGOLIA
– foreign nationals of those countries/regions stated in the Visa exemption list of Mongolia which can be officially found at http://consul.mn/eng/index.php?moduls=23

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. All passengers must present a negative Covid-19 PCR test which is taken within 72 hours before departure of the first embarkation point.
2. All persons arriving to Mongolia who have not been fully vaccinated against coronavirus infection (COVID-19) shall be quarantined at designated facilities for 7 days and PCR tests shall be taken during the quarantine period followed by 7-day self-isolation.
3. In case PCR test results are positive, an individual shall be transferred to a hospital for treatment.
4. Persons arriving to Mongolia 14 days after receiving the full dose of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines upon presenting proof of vaccination or those who were diagnosed earlier with a coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and fully recovered upon presenting antibody test result or other medical document shall be exempted from quarantine.

Undgå at sende pas med posten – aflever personligt

Vi anbefaler at alle pas og ansøgninger afleveres personligt, eller af en personlig kontakt. Desværre forsvinder for mange pas med posten, eller der kan være store forsinkelser i deres system. Hvis i ikke kan aflevere ansøgninger i konsulatets åbningstid på tirsdage mellem kl. 11-13.00, kan ansøgninger afleveres i vores postkasse på Nørrebrogade 14B (baggården). Når dette er sket, bedes i straks sende en mail om at i har afleveret en ansøgning i postkassen.

Konsulatet returnerer kun pas med visum i en forud frankeret svarkuvert. Vi foreslår at afsendelsen sker i et rekommanderet brev, der frankeres med 6 stk. Quickmærker i Danmark. Hvis ansøger har betalt på forhånd, sørger vi for at posthuset forsyner konvolutten med er trackingnummer ved returneringen, og informerer dig om dette via mail. Hvis dit returnerede brev er forsinket, leveres til en forkert adresse eller går tabt, er konsulatet ikke ansvarlig for eventuelle forsinkelser, tab eller skade af dit pas under forsendelse.
